It is no longer news that the internal wrangling in the All Progressives Congress APC at the Local Government level is getting deep.

AKOKA APC: WARD G. THE BATTLE OF BOTH APC HALVES

Hon. Ademorin Aliu Kuye, (Member, House of Representatives) representing Somolu-Bariga Constituency, has a group coined in his name, known as Ademorin Kuye Group, AKG vs Hon. Rotimi Olowo (Member, Lagos State House of Assembly, Somolu 1) who has long allied himself with the current Chairman, Somolu Local Government, Abdul-Hameed Salawu (Dullar) of the same political party, parted the APC Red Sea in Ward G, Akoka-Igbari as the community witnessed the endorsement of Hon. Tunde James who is in the current L.G.A Chairman (Dullar) and Hon. Olowo’s camp known as (Dullar Continua) against Hon. Disu Olakorede Olanrewaju who is in the MHR. Kuye, AKG’s camp. They will both slug it out in the primaries.

  • Hon. Olowo Rotimi and Hon. Jide the outgoing councilor of Ward G endorsing Hon. Tunde James as APC aspirant for councilor
  • Hon. Ademorin Kuye arriving at the endorsement meeting of Disu Olakorede Olanrewaju

Hon. Rotimi Oluyede, former adviser on environmental to Somolu L.G.A Chairman Hon. Dullar, was a key addition to the AKG team when he defected to the Kuye Group.

It was a wonderful site to behold the presence of APC community party leaders and other party faithfuls who gathered at Bola Tinubu Square at Ojo and Sobande Streets, Orile Igbari in Akoka.

It is about god-fatherism in Somolu politics, in the next few days. It will be made known who in actual sense, controls Somolu political landscape of Ward G in a showdown.

Among many of the significant figures in the AKG movement is Hon. Oluyede, the former adviser to Somolu L.G.A Chairman, Dullar, on environmental sanitation and the only Community Champion in Somolu, has also automatically endorsed Hon. Disu as the party candidate for the coming election in July.

The reality on ground is that APC party hierarchy within Somolu has been parted into two, just like the Red Sea.

Fortunately for the two groups, there is no opposing party in the coming election but an internal one.
