Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bariga council, Lagos, have said that visible transformation in the council necessitated automatic ticket for the council Chairman, Kolade Alabi.According to them, Alabi, who is also the National President of Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), got the nod of the party to continue service delivery in the areas of job creation, empowerment, infrastructure development and other people-oriented projects.The leaders spoke at Ladi Lak Primary School, Bariga, where Alabi launched his re-election campaign.The Apex Leader of the party in Somolu and Bariga, Apostle Peter Oyewusi, described Alabi as a symbol of success.

“What he has done in Bariga is huge and worthy of emulation by other council chairmen. Bariga people are lucky to have him,” he said.Alabi’s predecessor, Akeem Sulaiman (aka Oris), said he saw the capacity and capability of a great leader in Alabi when he was his deputy, adding: “I’m happy seeing him perform beyond many people’s expectations as the council chairman.”

A former member of the House of Representatives, Oyewole Diya, said Alabi’s good work in Bariga is visible to the blind and audible to the deaf.Responding, Alabi attributed his successful first term to the support from all and sundry.He said: “With your support, we have made Bariga a better place and changed the face of the community. We did it together because you supported me through the journey. I can assure you that I won’t take your support for granted.In these four years as your chairman, I have seen visible proof that we can achieve unbelievable things when we all come together and believe in our dreams.”
